The Bristol Disaster Relief Trials are back for a second year! The 2025 event was a powerful example of what our community can achieve, showcasing just how useful cargo bikes can be in helping communities stay connected, responsive and resilient when it matters most.
And we had so much fun doing it!
The Bristol event is still firmly rooted in the brilliant concept created by the legend Mike Cobb in the US. The trials combine the fun of a cargo bike meet-up with a serious challenge: responding to disruption when it really matters.
Riders can enter one of two categories: pedal power or e-assist. Expect navigation, problem-solving and some tough decisions along the way. No phones. No GPS. Just you, your bike and the task at hand.
There’ll be five checkpoints, revealed on the day, which you can visit in any order. Strategy is everything.
We’ll also be running a family-friendly route with a shorter course, stamps to collect and fun challenges for younger riders.
